One key lesson we focus on at CoolPlay is learning to build relationships with others from different backgrounds. This year we have focused on teaching this important life skill through bringing our kids from different communities together to learn from each and have fun together. We are fortunate to have strong partnerships with different areas that have allowed our CoolPlay kids to learn and grow together!

One way we brought different communities together this year through the Kuils River Primary School rugby tour to the Koue Bokkeveld. It was a trip focused on learning about different communities, making new friends and growing together the CoolPlay Way.

The team enjoyed playing three matches against Skurwerberg Primary, Laerskool Koue Bokkeveld and Boy Muller Primary. Each match started with a CoolPlay drill to bring the teams together for fun and learning!

The tour was a great success with learnings about teamwork, relationship building and empathy for others. Thank you to our Koue Bokkeveld partners, Laerskool Koue Bokkeveld and Boy Muller for hosting such a fun two days. We are looking forward to what next year holds with the Koue Bokkeveld!
